What is Trade Off When Going from Lower Rated Tire Load Rating to Higher Rating When Not Needed

Question:
I have Load range C tires on a camper which is within the rated weight and what came on it from the factory. Is there any advantage to replacing them with LRD? I understand I dont need it, but thinking it might have less rolling resistance since they are inflated to 65 psi vs 50

Expert Reply:
Going to a higher trailer tire Load Rating will give you a stiffer sidewall since there's more air pressure in the tire. The trade off is that you might get slightly less rolling resistance but the trade off would be a slightly bumpier ride quality since the tires won't give as much due to the increased pressure.
