Can 30 Amp Surge Protector be Used on 50 Amp RV

I have a 50 amp rv and a 30 amp surge protector can this be used

A 30 amp surge protector can be used on a 50 amp RV but if you exceed 30 amps the surge protector is going to activate and prevent more than 30 amps from making it to the rest of the electrical system. So it would "work" but not be ideal
Best solution would be a 50 amp surge protector like the part # CAM55301.
