Availability of Low-Profile Furrion Chill HE AC

Updated 02/12/2026 | Published 05/25/2025

Question:

Does Furrion have a low-profile model available? I'm looking at the Furrion AC units and a low-profile 15k model would be great. Thanks.

Hey John! Furrion does have a low-profile AC available. Are you replacing an existing AC unit? The low-profile models use the new R32 refrigerant so replacement will require a complete setup with the thermostat and air distribution box. You can choose from the following based on color:

-Furrion Chill HE Low-Profile RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # FR46AD

-Furrion Chill HE Low-Profile RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 15,000 Btu - Black - R32 # FR96AD

These work with both ducted and ductless setups. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to reply below.

Why is the "Furrion Chill HE Low-Profile Replacement RV Roof Air Conditioner Unit - 15,000 Btu - Black - R32" So hard to get? Has it been recalled? Is it popular? Does it work well with the manual controller? Does the heating actually work?

@Good2go they discontinued it after releasing it last year and didn't tell us why. That original system worked with ductless/ducted, and now they are coming back out with versions that are ducted and ductless specific. I imagine they decided to make a few changes to improve it for specific setups. The # FR29TQ (ductless) and # FR39TQ (ducted) are up for pre-order right now (AC unit only), with the ducted # FR79TQ being the only complete system currently listed.
