What do you recommend to flat tow a 2017 Ford C-Max? What all do we need towing, braking etc.

For your 2017 Ford C-Max, I recommend you start with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2639. Then I recommend using the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380 which comes with the safety cables needed. I also recommend using the locks # BX88177.

Then for your tow bar wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will give you the clean connections on the front of your C-Max and will also allow you to utilize your vehicle's wiring while protecting it.

For your braking system, I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251. This is a very clean and reliable system that allows you to simply adjust at install and then becomes a plug and play system. This system is a favorite with our installation team.

Finally, you will want to get a high-low adapter compatible with your motorhome and C-Max combination. I've attached an article to assist as well as have linked the page to your options.
