I have the Curt 17002, with round bars, what type of grease do you recommend? And where exactly will the grease be applied?

Expert Reply:

According to Curt for the Curt Weight Distribution System part # C17002, they recommend keeping the socket ends of the spring bar where they sit in the head and the lift brackets attached to the trailer frame lubricated. I have pointed both of these locations out in the attached photo. You will also want to keep a good amount of grease on the hitch ball as well.

I recommend using a white lithium grease like part # L11354 in the above locations on your weight distribution system.
