When you need to haul taller cargo or oversized gear, you don’t have to take the cover off. The TruXedo Pro X15 rolls up in seconds and secures behind the cab with safety straps, giving you full use of the bed. Because it mounts inside the bed rails, you can still use stake pockets, tie-down anchors, or rail caps without interference. Even rolled up, it stays low enough that it won’t block your rear window, keeping visibility clear while you drive.

The Pro X15 sits just ½ inch above the bed rails for a flush, streamlined look that also helps reduce wind drag and can improve gas mileage. The self-leveling side rails mount at a 15-degree angle, keeping everything lined up evenly across the bed. Automatic tension control and spring-loaded steel plungers keep the cover tight through heat, cold, and rain, so it always looks sharp and stays sealed.

The matte black fabric combines woven polyester with a vinyl coating that resists UV rays, fading, and extreme temperatures. It keeps out dirt, dust, and moisture while staying flexible year-round. The smooth surface wipes clean easily, and automotive-grade seals at the cab and tailgate help keep your cargo dry through storms or car washes.

You don’t need tools or drilling to get this cover installed. The aluminum side rails clamp directly to the bed rails and level themselves as you tighten them. Once in place, hook-and-loop fasteners secure the cover along the sides, and a single tailgate latch locks it down. When you want to remove it, the quick-release latch lets you take it off in seconds.

Opening and closing the cover is a one-person job. Just roll it out and press down on the rear slat to secure it, or pull the Quick Latch from either side to release it. The industrial-grade hook-and-loop strips hold firm without snaps or zippers, so the cover seals tight every time with minimal effort.

I have contacted the manufacturer and they said that these kinds of problems stem from having the cover installed too far back. You will need to install the cover closer to the cab, and have it compressed 50 by the cabin. They said that your situation can also be resolved by making sure that the tailgate is closed during installation. This will help make sure that the rail is even and not too far back.
