Availability of 13 Inch Wheel with 4 on 4-1/2 Inch Bolt Pattern

Question:

steel wheel 4 lug with a 4 1/2 in bolt hole pattern 13 inch wheel .... There is a number stamped in the wheel 4 and 1/2 J X 13.

The 4 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern that you referenced is not very common and not among the configurations we have available for 13 inch wheels. It looks like this particular style may have been an old automotive bolt pattern that will be difficult to find.

I have attached a great article that explains how to measure a bolt pattern so you can verify that this is indeed what you have. We do have 13 inch wheels with a 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern available, such as the Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel # AM20222DX. This has the same 4-1/2 inch width that your existing wheel has.

If you find that you do in fact have hubs and wheels that feature a 4 on 4-1/2 inch pattern, it might be easiest (and possibly necessary) to simply replace the hubs themselves and maybe the axle on your trailer. In order to replace the hubs, you will want to note the trailer's axle capacity, along with the inner and outer bearing numbers. If you can tell me this information, I will be happy to make some recommendations.
