Question:
I have a 2002 bounder and the steps frame broke and is being replaced. The gear box was cracked and needs replaced and no longer available. Will the new style gear box work with the original motor and control.

I reached out to my contact at Lippert Components and they confirmed that the old motor and the new gearbox are not compatible. With the step frame cracked and the gearbox cracked your best option would be to replace the complete steps. If you have the Lippert Components Kwikee Step # LC3722618 you will need the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor Conversion Kit # LC379145.
