Will Trailer Door Close With Lippert SolidStep Installed and Folded Down?

Question:

I havent seen anything online what shows the trailer door or screen door closed while the solid step is in the down position... Before we buy, Id like to confirm that the doors are able to close and are snug when the step is outside the rv and in the down position. Thanks for any info!

You will be able to close your screen door with the Lippert SolidStep # LC791575 on your trailer; I've added a pair of customer photos that we received which show you the step on and their screen doors closed. You will need to make sure the steps are properly installed and the manual specifically refers to your question, stating:

"Make sure the step threshold plate is placed firmly against the outside of the door threshold. If not positioned flush against the outside of the door threshold, the step assembly could prevent the door from closing."

So as long as everything is correctly installed your doors wil close just fine. I've added a link to a video review of the steps for you to take a look at as well.
