Does Curt Hitch for 2017 Ford Edge Titanium Allow Hands Free Liftgate to Function
Updated 02/05/2018 | Published 02/04/2018 >
Question:
Hello: We have a 2017 Ford Edge Titanium with a foot activated remote tail gate opener option. Swing your foot under the bumper and it opens the tailgate Will the installation of your custom fitted hitches interfere with this function? Ive heard some hitches will block the sensor that opens the tailgate.

The Curt hitch part # C12140 that you referenced is confirmed as a fit for your 2017 Ford Edge Titanium. It will also allow you to still operate the hands-free liftgate of your vehicle as well. You just will need to swing your foot to either side of the hitch opening instead.
I attached an install video for this hitch for you to check out as well.
