Troubleshooting Why Stop Light Function On Flat Tow Wiring Of Fiat Not Working
Published 01/26/2018 >
Question:
I bought the wiring and diodes from your company to install on my Fiat so that I may tow it behind my RV. I run all the wires, checked out the turn signals left and right, and tail lights wires. Now everything works but there stop light. I used yellow for left, green for right and the brown for the tail lights, plus all my car stops tail and turn light work properly as they should through the diodes. My RV is on the sprinter 3500 chassis. I checked all the fuses as well. By the way I followed your directions and the Winnebago manual directions. My question: Do you have any suggestions as to why my stop light do not work???

Based on your information, you need a stop light switch to complete your flat towing setup of your Fiat which is very common. I recommend the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit, Item # RM-751455. This switch wires directly into the fuse box for constant current.
Before flat towing your Fiat, be sure to consult the owner's manual for recommendation or suggestions. I have also included some helpful links to additional information for you to check out.
