If RV Power Cable is Too Long Will it Damage Appliances
Published 01/25/2018 >
Question:
Will appliances still work with this if they are limited to a 25 foot cable?

Expert Reply:
It is possible, due to resistance and voltage drop off, that an appliance may not function properly if the power cable is longer than what is recommended by the appliance manufacturer. It will not immediately damage the appliance but over time could cause the appliance to fail. Most likely you will just notice that the appliance isn't working to its full capacity and if that occurs I do recommend using a shorter power cable than the 30 foot Power Grip RV or Household Power Cord Extension # CAM55142.
