Purpose of Shims that Come with Timbren Suspension Enhancement System # TFR350SDJ

Question:

I have the correct part number. My question is the purpose of the included 1/32” thick spacers included in the kit? I had them on a 2017 and changed trucks another 2017 just with added creature features. So the dealer pulled them off and forgot to give me the 4 spacers. I want to install them, but do not know if these spacers are really required or their overall purpose.

The U-shaped shims of the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System # TFR350SDJ are designed to help provide a flat mounting surface for the bracket and help stabilize it from left to right. If there's any way you can get the dealer to track them down or replace them you really do want to use them.
