For your 2018 Ram 2500, I highly recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs part # F2706. The Red Label Airbags are Firestone's heavy duty version. The airbags are rated with a support capacity up to 7,500 lbs which will be perfect for trailers up to 25,000 lbs. The airbags will only be responsible for the tongue weight (TW) of the trailer and not the entire gross trailer weight (GTW).

You will have no problems installing the airbags as they will not interfere with the mounting brackets for your 5th wheel hitch. The airbags will do an excellent job of supporting the added weight placed on your vehicle's rear suspension components from the 5th wheel trailer. The added support will not only increase ride quality but it will also help prolong the life of your existing suspension components.

You can adjust the airbags from 5-150 psi depending on the load. However, it is always recommended to keep a minimum of 5 psi in the airbags at all times to avoid deformity. For a compressor and inflation valve kit that will allow you to control the airbags from inside the vehicle, I recommend using the Firestone Air Command II part # F2168. The Air Command II has a dual path gauge that allows you to adjust the pressure in each bag for off center loads, a 1/2 gallon air tank for faster inflation, and 150 psi capable heavy duty compressor.
