Question:
How tall is the pull rite super glide 16K on rails?
asked by: Joe M
Helpful Expert Reply:
We do not currently carry PullRite products, so I am not too familiar with their hitches, but according to my research it looks like the SuperGlide has a single height setting of 18-1/2 inches.
If your 2011 Ford F-250/350 has a 6-3/4 foot bed without the factory rail kit, I instead recommend looking at the Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550034 along with the Custom Installation Kit and Base Rails # DM8552000-71. Like the PullRite model, this hitch will slide automatically to give you 14 inches of additional turning clearance. It has a more robust towing capacity of 18,000 pounds and also features a superior wraparound, single-piece jaw that will actually lock the trailer king pin directly in the middle of the hitch head, providing much less rattle and a smoother ride. The Hijacker also features 3 different height settings, as opposed to just one on the PullRite, of 15-1/4 inches, 16-1/2 inches, and 18 inches.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this system so you can get a closer look at its features, along with the written installation instructions that you can look through.
