When looking at a Weight Distribution (WD) system you will want to choose one with a Tongue Weight (TW) range that the Total Tongue Weight (TTW) of your towing setup falls in the middle of. To find the TTW of your towing setup you will need to add the TW of your fully loaded and ready-to-go trailer along with the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your 2012 Nissan Frontier. Keep in mind that a properly loaded trailer will have a TW that is 10-15% of the loaded weight of your trailer.
If the loaded weight of your Jayco travel trailer is 4,300 lbs then your loaded TW should be between 430 lbs - 645 lbs. I have 2 recommendations for Blue Ox WD systems that you can choose from based on the 4,300 lbs of weight that we are talking about. If your TW is on the lighter end then you will want to go with the SwayPro # BXW0556 which has a TW range of 350 lbs - 550 lbs. If your TW is on the heavier end then you will want part # BXW0756 which has a TW range of 550 lbs - 750 lbs.
Neither system comes with a hitch ball but you can use part # A-90 for a 2 inch option or part # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch option.
An underslung trailer coupler means that the coupler is located towards the bottom of the trailer frame (see attached photo). This is not a typical application but it is common enough that it needs to be addressed for WD systems. If you have an underslung coupler or a different loaded TW you can either filter through the linked selection of Blue Ox systems or let me know and I can make a different recommendation.
