Question:
I have a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe sport, with NO roof rack, so I need a clamp on system. I only haul kayaks, so I’d like your best recommendation including the flip down kayak holders so I can get the Hyundai back in the garage. My wife and I both a a kayak so need a system that accommodates both.

For your 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport to carry your kayaks, I recommend Rhino Rack's Vortex Aero kit as a roof rack.
This kit consists of:
Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars, 54 Inches # RRVA137B-2
Rhino Rack 2500 Series Legs, part # RRRLKVA
Rhino Rack DK Fit Kit for 2500 Legs, part # DK360
If you have flush rails on your vehicle, you'll replace the 2500 Series Legs and DK Fit Kit with the SRB Legs, part # RRSX032, which will clamp to the rails.
For a flip-down carrier, I recommend the Yakima JayLow, part # Y04073. A 4 lock set is available as part # Y07204. The JayLow, part # Y04073 is a great choice if you think you'll need the occasional ability to carry four kayaks. The JayLow's distinguishing feature is the ability to convert to a two kayak vertical carrier as needed. It includes all tie downs that you'll need for one kayak and folds flat to add roughly 5 inches to the height of your vehicle.
If you'd like to add a little security to your setup, you can pick up Yakima's Rip Cords, part # Y04048. These cam straps have locking, rubberized grips that will replace one of the tiedowns on both kayaks for added security. These can be keyed alike to the Kayak Carriers with part # Y07206, which is a 6 pack of the SKS locks.
I've included video reviews of all of these parts so you can get an idea of their functions and performance, and make the best choice for your vehicle and kayaks.
