If your 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, I recommend the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - Dual 2" Receivers # TLD1101. This is a great addition to your truck with the Knapheide service bed.
If you want just a single receiver with a 2-1/2 inch opening, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - 2-1/2" # C15704. This hitch is rated for 18K towing and 2700 tongue weight.
If you want a single 2 inch receiver, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V XD - 2" # C15409. This hitch is rated for 17K towing and 2550 tongue weight.
If you don't already have trailer wiring, I recommend the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit with 4-Pole Connector (Includes Tester) # 119178KIT.
Let me know if you need help with a ball mount compatible with your system. I've attached an article to assist.
