Question:
Does the installation of your part # LC1191151 raise the overall height of the 5th Wheel RV?

Installation of a replacement pin box like the Lippert 1621 5th Wheel Pin Box - 18,000 lbs # LC1191151 does not raise the overall height of a 5th wheel trailer, but it may give more adjustability to the height of the king pin. I've attached an image of the dimensions of this pin box as well as the adjustability based on hole spacing 2 inches on center vertically. I've attached a link to all of the pin boxes compatible with the 1621 for your convenience.
To give you additional trailer height, you would need to flip your axles using an over under kit like the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00 for 2-3/8 inch diameter axles or # K71-385-00 for 3 inch axles. If you have Dexter torsion axles, then you would want the lift kit like # K71-707-02 for your specific axle. If this is what you have let me know and I can help find the correct parts.
Another option for leaf spring suspension is the Lippert Components Center Point by Trailair Air-Ride Suspension Upgrade - Tandem Axle # LC1565391 which will increase your trailer height by 2 inches.

I need to lower this hitch box down, but when I do, I only have eight bolts instead of 10 as I will lose two bolts off of the front. Is this a safe option thanks.
