Question:
I want to put a light bar on my box trailer for loading and unloading. Could i wire it into the break lights or marker lights on a switch?

Expert Reply:
To wire a strip light like the Optronics Opti-Brite LED Strip Light # ILL70CBAWN to the rear of your box trailer, I recommend using the 12 volt circuit from your trailer 7-Way connector. You can then wire it to a switch like the Pollak Toggle Switch # PK34513.
You will run the power wire from the bar light to the switch, and then the power wire from the switch will be connected to the 12 volt circuit on the trailer connector. For additional wire, you can use # 12-1-1, which is sold by the foot.
