To install Derale transmission cooler # D13503 in your 2008 Nissan Altima with 2.5L inline 4-cylinder engine you will need to identify the send and return lines to and from the factory cooler that is inside the radiator. The Derale transmission cooler will install in the return line, which is the cooler of the two lines, the one that leads back to the transmission from the OEM cooler.
To find this line, start the COLD engine, shift the transmission into drive for 15-seconds and shut it off. Feel the lines to find the cooler of the two. This is the return line.
The cooler can be oriented in any direction; it does not matter which way the inlets face. But ideally you will install it in front of the AC condenser where it will get the most air flow.
