Can Sway Control of Curt TruTrack be Turned So Far that it Falls Off of the Track
Published 08/29/2017 >
Question:
Im curious if the ball will stay engaged in the detent while in a normal turn or corner going down the highway. Im thinking that if youre driving in a small enough radius or turn, the ball would disengage from the detent, reducing the amount of sway control and potentially experience increased sway in turns on the road, which could be a bad thing. Im just deciding which system works the best to reduce sway: the husky, the steadi flex by reese, or the Kurt. Also and if there is concern using anti sway control in snowy conditions.

If you were in a sharp enough turn to push the trunnions of the head on the Curt # C17500 out of the "valley" you wouldn't be going fast enough to have sway as that would be beyond jackknifed.
Actually the system shouldn't ever be turned that sharp anyway. The only way it could get into that tight of a turn though is if you were backing up and really jackknifed it.
This system would work well though as it is an active style of sway control unlike the others which are passive.
