Question:

i have a 2013 Venture boat trailer with the tiedown 700 surge actuator and disk breaks on axel. Id like to add breaks to the other axel. Can these be used or do I need to get matching tiedown breaks? All the lines are the flex piping, so I would need to know what parts id need to tap into that line as well. Many thanks

The Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10" Hub/Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Dacromet - 3,500 lbs # K2HR35DKG will work fine on the second axle of your 2013 Venture boat trailer as long as the bearings and seal inner diameters match your spindles. This kit has the most standard sizes compatible with the vast majority of 3500 lb axles. The inner bearings are L68149 with inner diameter 1.378 inches. The outer bearings are L44649 with inner diameter 1.063 inches. The grease seal 10-19 has an inner diameter of 1.719 inches. For this you can use the Bearing Kit for #84 Spindle, L44649/L68149 Bearings, 10-19 Double Lip Seal # BK2-100.

To add the brake lines, I recommend the Hydraulic Line Kit, 3rd Axle - Drum and Disc # 9579-01 because you just need to tap into the current brake lines. I recommend using a Hand Vacuum Pump Brake Bleeder # PTW87030 to ease this process.
