How does the Thule EasyFold 2 Bike Rack Mount in a Trailer Hitch
Updated 08/14/2017 | Published 08/11/2017 >
Question:
Does the Thule Easy fold fit the first outermost or the second innermost hole of my Draw Tite 2inch hitch ? Im trying to measure distances Do I need a hitch pin for this rack or is everything included ? Is it as secure as the big thru pin that the Hollywood Racks SE2 for electric bikes uses ?? Or is it plenty solid for most applications? Thanks in advance!!

The Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack, # TH903202, secures the bike rack to your vehicle's trailer hitch receiver. The auto pin of the this system will have to be mounted in the second hole of your Draw-Tite hitch. With this system there is no need for a hitch pin.
For this bike rack to mount correctly, the hitch pin hole has to be a minimum of 1-1/2 inches from the edge of the hitch receiver opening to the center of the hitch pin hole.
Actually, the auto pin does not secure the rack in to the hitch. The EasyFold has an anti-rattle device that when the knob is turned tightens the rack's shank into the vehicle's hitch. Once tighten, the knob has a lock cylinder that can be lock using the included key. This will allow you to secure the rack in the hitch and help deter theft. These types of anti-rattle devices work very well in place of the standard hitch pin.
