Is the Rackem Fitz-All Enclosed Trailer Ladder Rack # RA-28 Rack Compatible With Rooftop Tent

Question:

Could I use the rack for a roof top tent? I have a 1952 M100 military trailer that I made a lid to add rooftop tent - see picture.

I have a solution for you, but because of the design of the Rack'em Fitz-All Enclosed Trailer Ladder Rack # RA-28 crossbars, I really don't think that there is a roof mounted tent that will be compatible with the rectangular design. Traditional roof racks are either round, square, aero, or elliptical design. Another thing to note is that the Fitz-All Ladder Rack requires that your trailer have rain gutters to properly install it, and is meant to be install on enclosed trailers.

To ensure that you have a safe experience I recommend adding the rooftop tent to the top of your tow vehicle. I see in one of your pictures that you have the trailer hooked up to a Jeep. If you are not using the roof of your Jeep already, that is the best place for the tent. If you don't already have a roof rack I would be happy to recommend one if you can tell me the year/make/model of your Jeep.
