Question:
Hello, I have a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. I want to add the hitch receiver and wiring harness with both a 4 pole and 7-pole connectors available, not just one but both can be used i.e. the 7- and 4-pole connector however it plugs into a 7-pole and the harness for my jeep that you have is a 4-pole. I also want to be able to use European trailers as Im in Germany now. Please advise. Thanks.

On your 2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude, to get all the towing functions, I recommend you begin with the trailer hitch receiver. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13172
For your wiring, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118605 that will attach to factory connectors behind your tail lights and then connect to your vehicle battery to protect your factory wiring from overload. Then you will need to use a brake controller wiring kit # ETBC7 which will give you both 4-way and 7-way functions simultaneously. This kit will give you the wiring, circuit breakers, and connectors to add a brake controller like # 90195 which I recommend for your application.
For a ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black # BWTS10037B. This will give you an adjustable mount to tow multiple trailers level. It also has two integrated hitch balls to fit a 2 inch coupler or a 2-5/16 inch coupler. This ball mount has a really nice and clean looking stow away option that will protect your shins when not in use. I recommend using a hitch lock like # e98882 to protect your investment.
We have one European adapter you may need. The Trailer Connector Adapter - 7-Way, Round Pin, European Style to 4-Way Flat # 118710 will turn your US 4-way into a European 7-way round.
