Question:
Hi, I need to replace the A frame jack on a 1998 Palomino popup... Old jack is an Atwood 2328 Top mounting plate is welded to jack and bolted to tongue... Top 2 bolt holes are 6inch apart 3inch from center of tube Other hole is 2inch from center of tube Is there a conversion mounting plate to fit modern jacks... Or, do I need to remove this plate and drill for new jack or start with a new plate and drill 6 holes Thanks much for your advice

Your best option is to replace the jack and drill 3 new holes into the trailer. A-frame jacks have a standard bolt pattern that's roughly 3 inches on center from hole to hole. Generally the holes on the jack are slotted to allow for slight variances in the measurement and different hole sizes.
Our most popular electric A-frame jack is the Stromberg Carlson # SC63VR. It has stops to prevent overextending or retracting - which is the cause of failure on most jacks.
If you prefer a manual jack our most popular is the etrailer Round Sidewind Jack # TJA-5000S-B. It has a capacity of 5,000 pounds. You could add a footplate # JF-99.
