Question:

Will Yakima Jaylow & Skybox 16 both fit 2015 Subaru Outback? I have a 2015 Subaru Outback and own the Yakima Skybox 16. I am looking for a kayak holder flat or vertical that could fit alongside the Skybox on the factory roof rails that would allow me to access the Skybox while both are on the roof. Id prefer a Yakima rack that would accept a lock that matches the Skybox, but its not absolutely necessary. Would also prefer a holder that would allow me to pull into my garage without removing.

One way to determine if you have the space to mount both your Yakima SkyBox cargo box and a kayak carrier is to first place the box on the roof of the vehicle and push it as far to one side as it will go. Next, measure how much of the roof rack crossbars are left.

The SkyBox itself is 36 inches wide but that dimension will change when the lid is open so when you measure have the lid open.

There may be enough room for the Stacker # TH830 but not a carrier that holds a kayak at an angle, Like the JayLow or flat. The base isn't very wide so it by itself does not take up a lot of space but you also need enough room for the kayak.

To get a lock that matches your cargo box I would need to know the key number on your existing keys.
