Question:
Is this a good system to use for one to two kayaks on my 2005 Honda crv

Expert Reply:
The Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier # Y04073 is a good fit for the crossbars on your 2005 CR-V.
This carrier includes tie-down straps and bow/stern tie-downs to secure one kayak to your roof rack and your CR-V.
To make your carrier more secure you can add the Yakima SKS lock cores # Y07202.
Because it can be tough to find a good place on the vehicle to secure the bow and stern tie-downs I also recommend the Hood Loops # TH529. These attach to the bow and stern tie-downs and make it easier to secure the tie-downs by closing them under your hood and inside your rear hatch.
If you need additional straps, I recommend the etrailer Tie-Down Kit # e36ZR that comes with straps and soft anchors to close into your hood or hatch.
