Updated 07/10/2017 | Published 07/06/2017

Question:

I asked about a break Solenoid Valve Compatible With Titan Model 10 Actuator and you gave me the answer I needed and gave me your part number. He also said that may need the Replacement Solenoid Adapter Fitting for Titan Model 10 Brake Actuators # T4750200. How would I know if I need one or not?

For your surge brake coupler, you will need the Replacement Solenoid Adapter Fitting for Titan Model 10 Brake Actuators # T4750200 or a complete unit like the Replacement Solenoid Valve for Titan Brake Actuators with Reverse Lockouts # T4748800 only if your current brakes do not allow free backing.

The solenoid from an old actuator will work if you have one. This connects to the reverse wire function on your trailer connection to tell your surge brake coupler to not apply braking pressure. This allows you to back up your trailer without the force on the actuating coupler causing your trailer brakes to constantly engage while you are in reverse. This solenoid will allow you to backup without any trailer braking function.

I've attached a video of this product as well as an installation video.
