The Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37120ET referenced in your question does include an adjustable shank and a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball. The hitch ball is not already installed and I recommend using the Thin Walled Socket # EQ70-00-4800 to assist with installing the ball on the weight distribution head. It is designed specifically for Equal-i-zer systems and will accept a 3/4 inch drive.

This Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System has a tongue weight capacity of 800 to 1,200 pounds. You will want your total tongue weight, which includes the loaded tongue weight of your trailer along with any added cargo weight coming from behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle, to fall somewhere around the middle of that range. Using a tongue weight scale like the etrailer # e99044 will be helpful in verifying your trailer's loaded tongue weight.
