Question:

Which receiver hitch would you recommend to install on the rear of 2016 Winnebago Minnie 2401RG travel trailer? It will be for a bike rack or Honda 3000 generator.

We have a couple of different options in terms of trailer hitches for 5th wheel trailers. The Curt Hitch, # E-100, is designed to fit on 4 inch square channel bumpers. You will need to check to see if your bumper fits this description and if it is rated for this application.

I recommend going with a frame mount hitch. The most versatile frame mount hitch we offer is Curt Hitch, # 13703. It can be bolted or welded on and fits C-channel, I-beam, and Box frames. Any welding should be done by a qualified professional welder. I have included a link to the installation details for reference.

Before installing a trailer hitch, knowing the manufacture's tongue and trailer weight capacities on the rear of the trailer will be important info. Although these hitches might have a tongue weight rating as an example of 350 lbs, this does not mean you will be able to carry that much weight on the rear of the trailer.
