I looked up an online version of the owner's manual for a 2012 Kia Sorento and I found that it can be towed with a tow dolly with the front wheels off the ground only if it is the automatic transmission 2WD version. A 4WD Sorento needs to be towed with all 4 wheels off the ground. I found this on page 6-16, but you will want to check your own copy to make sure and for any special instructions.
We currently have 2 options for a tow dolly and both are from Roadmaster. One is the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes # RM-2050-1 which is the more basic version, and the other is the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Self-Steering Wheels and Electric Brakes # RM-2000-1.
Ror a tow dolly use the Roadmaster # RM-2050-1 has a weight capacity of 4,250 lbs.
So that you can make sure the connector is the correct fit for your RV you will want to check it and see what you have on your RV side. You will then want to make sure that your tow dolly has a compatible connector with the one found on your RV. Part # RM-2050-1 doesn't come with a connector but part # RM-2000-1 comes with a 4-Pole. You can use the 7-Pole # PK12706 or the 6-Pole # PK11604 depending on your application. I have attached a helpful article that goes over the pin locations for 6-Pole and 7-Pole connectors for you to review.
Some states require that tow lights still be installed on the vehicle in addition to the lights on a tow dolly. I recommend using the Optronics Magnetic Tow Lights # TL21RK. You can splice in the 4-Pole connector to the lighting on your tow dolly near the coupler so that you will just need to install the magnetic lights and run the connector to the front of the vehicle when you are pulling it.
