Can I flat tow a 2017 Jeep Renegade Sport FWD SUV. If yes, what equipment do I need. Thanks.

I do have a way in order for you to flat tow your 2017 Jeep Renegade, however the only way this is possible according to the manufacturer is by using a tow dolly. Unfortunately, the Jeep Renegade is not compatible being flat towed with four wheels down. In order to flat tow your vehicle, you will need a tow dolly such as the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes part # RM-2050-1.

In order for this to be done, you must tow the vehicle with the front wheels off the ground. After the front wheels have been placed onto the tow dolly, you will then need to active the vehicle's electric parking brake and place the car in park.

The Roadmaster Tow Dolly features self steering wheels with integrated brakes and lighting. This is the only way in order for you to dinghy tow your Jeep Renegade. You will also need an electric brake controller such as the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 in order for this to work.
