Is There a Supplemental Braking System that Works with a Brake Controller in the RV

Question:
On my exTOAD I had the Blue OX TOAD STOP. It works the same way basically. My question is: Is this or another system you sell compatible with a self applied braking unit such as a Technosha. This is almost mandatory when coming down steep grades to check the Toads shimmy.

Most states do require that a supplemental braking system be installed on a vehicle being flat towed. This would be especially crucial when coming down steep grades as you stated. Although we do not have any supplemental braking systems that receive their signal from a brake controller, such as the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195, we do have systems that apply the brakes in your towed vehicle proportionally just like a the Prodigy P3 would.
From what I could find it looks like the Blue Ox Toad Stop is no longer in production. We do have an option that works in the same manner though. The Roadmaster BrakeMaster # RM-9060 will apply the brakes in your towed vehicle in proportion to how you apply the brakes in your RV. It does this by connecting to the hydraulic brakes on your RV. It then senses how those brakes are applied and basically mimics that same action. If your RV has Air or Air Over Hydraulic Brakes you will instead want to go with part # RM-9160-900002.
The InvisiBrake System # RM-8700 that you referenced is a great permanently installed supplemental brake system, but it does start to automatically release pressure after 15 seconds of continuous braking.
Since it sounds like you will be doing a lot of continuous braking while coming down steep grades I recommend going with either of the BrakeMaster options over the InvisiBrake system.
