Question:

my 3500 lb axle has a standard 4 hole, 2-7/8inch spacing brake hub hole pattern, which is standard. I want to purchase brake 40716-15 but it states it has a 2- 3/4inch brake flange hole pattern. Will it fit? I am assuming the hole patters stated for the brake is incorrect?. Let me know... Thanks

Yes, the Demco Hydraulic Brake Kit - Free Backing - Galvanized part # 40716-15 will fit a 3,500 lb trailer axle with a brake mounting flange dimension of 2-7/8". The dimensions of the brake mounting flange from bolt hole to bolt hole is an industry standard, however some companies such as "Demco" refer to this measurement as a 2-3/4 instead of the more common 2-7/8".
The actual dimension is really more like 2-13/16", but different brake manufacturers will round to either 2-3/4" or 2-7/8". Either way, it is an industry standard size on 3,500 lb. axles.
