Parts Needed to Install a Trailer Brake Controller on a 2000 Toyota Tundra without Tow Package

Where are the brake and turn signal wires from controller connected under the dash? I do not have factory installed port.

Since your 2000 Toyota Tundra does not have a factory tow package, there are a couple of additional parts besides the brake controller that you will need for installation. The blue wire on the brake controller will eventually connect to a wire that runs back to a 7-Way trailer connector. This wire is not present on the vehicle, so it needs to be hardwired manually. The brake controller does not use the turn signals.
To install the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, # 90885, you will first need to install T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, # 118367. I have included a link to the installation details for reference. Once this harness is installed, you will move on to installing a 4- and 7-Way installation Kit, # ETBC7. This includes all the wiring and parts needed to add a 7-Way and brake controller to the vehicle, though you may also need a circuit tester, # PTW2993, if you do not already have one.
