Question:

Will Rage Scooter Carrier, # MX600, accommodate a Honda PCX150 using a 2013 Ford Edge. My Ford Edge is rated at 350# hitch weight although the aftermarket hitch that is installed is 4000/400# rating I am concerned about the width also.

Based on my research, your Honda PCX150 Scooter has a weight of just under 300 pounds with a full tank of fuel. The etrailer Ultra-Fab Carrier # UF48-979033 referenced in your question is a great option for transporting scooters or small motorcycles, however the weight of the carrier itself is 50 pounds. This combined with your scooter will will be right at the capacity of your Ford Edge which is okay, but you cannot exceed that limit. A total of 351 is not okay.

When looking at the tongue/hitch weight capacity of your vehicle, you will always be limited by its weakest component. This means that even if you have a trailer hitch installed with a higher capacity, you will still need to follow the 350 pound limit of the vehicle itself.

If you are able to stay under your Ford Edge's weight capacity, I recommend using the Erickson Ratchet Tie-Down Straps w/ Web Clamps and S-Hooks # EM31353 to secure your scooter to the carrier.
