Hitch Bike Rack Recommendation for Vehicle with Limited Ground Clearance

Question:

I have a 2016 Subaru Legacy and need some help figuring out what platform bike rack to purchase for my car, which only has about 5 inches of ground clearance in the back. Ive had trouble in the past with the bikes hitting the ground as I leave my driveway with various racks. Ive got a 2 inch hitch and looking for a platform rack for 2 bikes, with as much ground clearance as possible. I prefer a platform rack but if a hanging rack is better suited to achieve as much ground clearance as possible, Im willing to consider those as well. Thank you!

When it comes to tight ground clearance for a hitch bike rack I would go with a platform bike rack. If for nothing else if you were to drag something it would be the bottom of the rack and not a bike wheel.

The Saris SuperClamp EX part # SA4025F has great ground clearance due to the rise it has built into the shank. I attached a review video that shows it installed on a similar Subaru's hitch as well.
