Does Trailer Wiring Harness C56040 Require a Wire to be Run to the Battery on a 2012 Subaru Forester

Question:

2012 forester- I see you say red wire is direct to battery but I dont see you connect it. Does it come from the same plug the rest of the wires use? Thanks!

The red wire battery connection is within the factory plug where trailer wiring harness # C56040 plugs into your 2012 Subaru Forester. So you would not have to run a wire manually since the factory wiring already has that connection. Just remember to insert the fuse in the red fuse holder that is in line on the red wire of the wiring harness. The fuse is included.
