The key to selecting a weight distribution/sway control (WD/SC) set-up for your trailer is knowing its fully-loaded tongue weight (TW) and to this adding the weight of any cargo in the F-250 that sits behind the rear axle. Sine this cargo weight will act like trailer TW it needs to be accounted for. We offer a TW scale # e99044 that makes accurate measurement easy.
All such systems work over a range of trailer TW and ideally the total TW of the set-up will fall right near the middle of the operating range for the WD/SC system used. The Equal-I-zer system you referenced, part # EQ37100ET, works over a TW range of 600- to 1000-lbs, making it ideal for a total TW of 800-lbs. If your trailer's dry hitch weight is 823-lbs then by the time it is loaded it could be over the range for this system.
If your trailer routinely varies a lot in TW you might want to use a second set of spring bars rated for the other TW range. Springs bars can be swapped out easily enough to give your system a higher or lower TW range. The best way to proceed is to measure your loaded trailer TW with your most common loads to see if you will need a second set of bars. If you find your TW is sometimes in the range of 1000- to 1400-lbs then you can substitute two higher-rated bars # EQ90-02-1499.
