Installing a trailer hitch like the Draw-Tite Hitch # 76128 will be compatible with your 2017 Honda CR-V's hands free lift gate. However, you will probably need to kick under the bumper to the left or right of the center where the hitch receiver opening will be located. This section of the hitch might partially block the sensors in this location.
If you plan on towing with this hitch, then I recommend the using the T-One Vehicle Harness, # 118741, and ball mount kit, # 989900. The harness will allow you to plug in to your vehicle's existing wiring without cutting or splicing.
The mount kit includes two trailer balls. One ball is 1-7/8 inch and the other is a 2 inch ball. The ball mounts have different rise and drops to be used for different applications.
If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
