Can we change the spindle on a torflex axle?

The spindles can be replaced. However, they will need to be welded by a certified welder. They use special jigs so that it is concentric and square on the axle or it can cause problems with uneven tire wear and wheel tracking.

@Rick I can find the right one for you. I need to know the diameter of your spindle to get the one that will fit. If you look at part # TRU74FR there is a measuring graphic in the description. You are going to want to find your "A" measurement to determine the correct diameter. I recommend looking at an axle replacement instead. It typically costs more to get a spindle correctly welded on than replacing the axle as a whole, and most manufactures recommend axle replacement over spindle repair.
