Question:
I have a 2017 cr-v touring with Hands free tailgate.. will my hands free tailgate still work after installation.. or will I need to replace the sensor.. Also will I need to cut the plastic bumper or will this hitch fit under the bumper.. Do you have a link to your installation guide. Honda says with their Hitch, a new sensor must be installed to make the sensor work .. I guess they move it a few inches to the right. but their hitch is a straight bar, and almost hidden so much higher, and needs the bumper trimmed.

Trailer hitch # 76128 is compatible with the hands-free lift gate on the 2017 Honda CR-V. However in all likelihood you will need to kick your foot off to the side of center one way or the other because the hitch can partially block the sensor. There is no trimming required to install the hitch.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
And for trailer wiring use # 118741 to add a 4-Way flat trailer connector to the rear of the vehicle.
