Does Trimming of Heat Shield of 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hurt Anything

Any sort of issues with removing the heat shield and not replacing part of it?

When you install a hitch like the Curt part # C13383 in a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica the heat shield does have to get modified.
Curt tested and was able to determine that the trimming of the heat shield did not affect anything negatively.
