Question:
I have read that any front wheel drive manual transmission vehicle is flat towable. Is this correct?

Expert Reply:
Many but not all front-wheel-drive manual transmission vehicles can be flat towed without modifications or damage to the transmission. But since vehicle manufacturers do make changes to car models during the course of their production lifetimes, it is ALWAYS best to check the owner's manual for your specific car. It could happen that one model year has a different transmission than the prior year, or other changes that affect towability. You can usually find the information you need in the manual index under the heading "recreational towing".
