The 7-Way to 5-Way and 4-Way Trailer Adapter for Towing Trailers with LED Lights, part # C35FR, is designed for use on vehicles with Trailer Lamp-Out sensors. The low power draw of LED trailer lights can fool a vehicle's bulb-out sensors, causing them to display an error message. This adapter converts the trailer connector from a 7-way format to a combination 5-way and 4-way.
Similar adapter # C57003 from Curt provides the same function but keeps the trailer connector format as a 7-way RV-style, rather than the 5-way and 4-way as on the other.
