Distance Between Hitch Pin Holes on the Brophy Hitch Adapter part # HT5R
Published 12/20/2016 >
Question:
I see that the hitch adapter MaxxTow Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter - 1-1/4inch Class II to 2inch Hitch - 4-1/2inch Rise - MT70355 show 3 inches from the hole to the back of the 2 adapter. But the hitch adapter Brophy Hitch Adapter 1-1/4inch to 2inch Trailer Hitch Receiver with 5inch Rise does not show how many inches from the hole to the back of the adapter. Can you tell me what it is? I have a 2000 Ford Taurus wit a Curt 1 /4 hitch that is recessed behind the bumper.

Expert Reply:
The distance from the back of the 2 inch hitch opening of the Brophy Hitch adapter part # HT5R back to the center of the hitch pin hole on the 1-1/4 inch shank is 3-3/8.
I attached a picture where that dimension has been added as well.
