How to Carry Multiple Snowboards and Skis on a 2016 Kia Sorento

I have a few different options depending on what you already have installed on your 2016 Kia Sorento.

We do have a Ski and Snowboard rack that is compatible with multiple hitch-style Thule bike Racks (I will provide a link to the list) this carrier is the Thule Tram and Ski and Snowboard Carrier Adapter for Hitch-Mounted Bike Racks # TH9033. The ideal scenario is if you already have a roof rack installed, you have a compatible hitch-style bike rack, and if you have a 2 inch hitch receiver.

If your Kia already meets the scenario that I just mentioned, then all that you will need is the Ski and Snowboard Carrier that I just talked about, and a Ski and Snowboard carrier for your roof. The Thule SnowPack Extender # TH7325 is what I recommend using. With ideal scenario and these two products you are ready to go!

If you don't have a roof rack already installed on your Sorento that is an easy fix. There are two different roof racks that will enable you to carry your equipment depending on what type of roof you have. If your Sorento has flush mounted rails that run front to back, this is the Rhino Rack Crossbar setup which includes the Crossbars # RRVA126B-2, and the Legs # RRSX023.

The other option for a roof rack (if your Kia has no existing rails or crossbars) is the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack # 298-SX6000B. This installs on your roof via powerful suction cups.

The most economic bike rack (if you don't have one that is compatible with the Ski/Snowboard Rack) would be the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR.

The last thing that you will need for your Kia Sorento is a 2 inch hitch, that is if you don't already have one installed. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13195 is what you will want to purchase to ensure that you can use the bike rack and ski/snowboard rack combination. For extra support you will want to get the Curt Trailer Hitch Support Strap # 18050.

If your Kia already has the correct trailer hitch and crossbars then you will want to disregard the last 5 paragraphs. Otherwise the equipment combination that I just listed for you will enable you to haul 4 snowboards and 6 pairs of skis at the same time.
