Just wondering if your T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector for Ford Escape is waterproof in the area that plugs into the trailers electrical plug for boat launching?

The T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56320 is the harness that is designed to custom fit the 2017 Ford Escape. The 4-pole flat trailer connector is designed to fit tight together with the 4-pole connection in the trailer. Using dielectric grease # LT37534 will help seal the components of the plug and prevent corrosion from moisture.

However, the 4-pole connection is not completely waterproof. Using the dielectric grease will help prevent some water contamination, but the plug will not be waterproof the connection for prolonged submersion.

Unfortunately, there is no way to completely waterproof this electrical connection. It is recommended to disconnect the this plug when you are unloading your boat. Disconnecting will help keep the connection dry. Also, making sure the connection is clean of debris and greased with dielectric grease will help the electrical connection.
